1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using Velnot ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License

Subject to these Terms and your active subscription or valid license, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Velnot on up to 3 personal devices for your own lawful purposes.

You may not:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Resell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute the App or your license key.
• Use the App to provide services to third parties without explicit permission.
• Share your license key with others.

3. Recording Consent — Your Responsibility

Velnot enables you to record audio from meetings and calls. You are solely and exclusively responsible for:

• Obtaining all necessary consents from meeting participants before recording.
• Complying with all applicable local, national, and international laws governing audio recording, wiretapping, and data privacy.
• Informing participants that a recording is being made when required by law.

Recording consent requirements vary significantly by jurisdiction. In many countries and U.S. states, all parties to a conversation must consent before it may be recorded (two-party or all-party consent). It is your responsibility to understand and comply with the laws applicable to your location and the location of all participants.

We are not liable for any recording made without proper consent.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Velnot to:

• Record conversations without the legally required consent of all parties.
• Record confidential, privileged, or classified information you are not authorized to record.
• Violate any applicable law or regulation.
• Harass, stalk, or harm any individual.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

Velnot offers monthly, yearly, and lifetime license plans. Payments are processed by LemonSqueezy. Pricing and plan details are shown at the time of purchase.

• Refunds: Refund requests within 14 days of purchase may be honored on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@velnot.com.
• Lifetime license: A one-time payment for perpetual use of the app version at time of purchase and future updates.
• Free trial: 5 sessions, valid for 7 days from first launch. No payment required.

6. Third-Party Services

Velnot uses OpenAI and AssemblyAI APIs for transcription and AI features. Your use of these services through Velnot is also subject to their respective terms:

You are responsible for obtaining and managing your own API keys for these services.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Velnot is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that transcription accuracy will meet any particular standard.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, business interruption, or legal penalties arising from your use of the App or violation of recording consent laws.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will note the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
